Metaphysical Healing Lesson 14 - Rev. Vanderlooven

Lesson 14
 
1. Authoritarian technique:
          The Authoritarian technique also known as classical hypnosis,  is a very overt and direct and at times my seem like a heavy handed technique of hypnosis. The therapist is in charge, the subject follows the instructions exactly as they are stated, there is no suggestion. The subject is told what to do step by step with the therapist stating the words you will, experience, you will relax, you will. For some clients they need this firm but gentle guidance so their minds do not wander.
 
2. Permissive technique:
          The Permissive technique also known as the indirect technique relies much more on the hypnotist suggesting to the hypnotic subject that he or she is to do this or do that rather than directing him or her to do so. The hypnotic subject is assured through the structuring of the language used in making a suggestion, that he or she has the right to choose whether or not to comply with the hypnotist suggestion. The words release, let go, allow this are used in a less stringent manner.
 
3. Monotone voice:
          The monotone voice is a flat tone that drones on and on. There are people who have a voice that can lull you into a trace state. The monotone voice can be excellent for helping clients to unwind and to turn their attention inwards, because there is nothing distracting or diverting. This technique is like giving commands in a soft manner.
 
4. Rhythmic or singsong voice:
          The rhythmic voice creates a peaceful atmosphere and lulls the listener into a trance. Certain words are emphasized during the process to sweet talk the person into feeling more relaxed. Words are sometimes dragged out to get a special, needed effect. Using words in this manner helps to progressively relax the client.
 
5. Word distortion:
          Words that are dragged out to get a special needed effect are particularly beneficial to use during a progressive relaxation induction helps your client to relax and move more deeply into a altered state.
 
6. Raised Pitch:
          The emphasis is placed on a suggestion by changing your voice to a higher raised pitch, it the best way to bring a client back to the present, when ending a session.  It is also used to enforce a post hypnotic suggestion, example, "and now you will quit smoking".
 
7. Uninterrupted Rhythm:
          This rhythm is established through a use of connective words. Sometime the client can be gently pulled along deeper into the experience through the use of this technique. This technique can be done by linking sentences with the word and to create a continuous flow of words that fall into a rhythmic pattern. This helps to distract the client from any external sounds so you do not lose their attention.
 
8. Silent pause:
          Some times as a healer you must create a silent pause, this allows your client to respond to a suggestion you made. Like when you tell your client to close their eyes, and take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth. Pauses must be used throughout the relaxation induction and it is essential to allow the client time to follow your instructions for a successful session.

LESSON# 16
 
In doing research on Past Life Regression there are several benefits that can help you on your path in this life time. Some of those benefits are:
 
a.            Learning the answers to the big questions: Why are we here? What's it all for? What is the meaning of life? Past life regression attempts to help you answer these questions by walking your through it step by step.
b.            Connect with your soul mate: We generally travel with the same soul groups throughout various incarnations.  People we meet who we feel like we have know forever. Past life regressions can take you back to the connections with these souls.
c.            Uncover amazing things you didn't even know you knew: Memories of jobs, skills, you had in past lives' you can recall and learn how to do them in this life time.
d.            See dead people: past life regressions take you into the past, people that you interacted with in your different life times.
e.            It helps you to be able to resolve some of the unexplained habits and quirks in this lifetime.
f.            Regression therapy is a short term therapy and tends to be more concentrated than other therapies.
g.            It releases crippling emotional, mental and physical blockages.
h.            The best part is Regression therapy is holistic. No drugs needed.
 
As in all things there are also bad or negative aspects of regression therapy in my research I not found as many negatives as I did positives.  A few include:
a.            When clients are taken back to another life time, sometimes a new personality may appear that does not want to leave.
b.            An inexperienced therapist my easily put suggestions into a clients head that may really confuse or upset the client.
c.            Some clients may feel they are going crazy or making things up, which can lead to fear.
 
I feel the main part is to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with, has a very good reputation. Remember you can stop the session yourself at any time. The client is in complete control.

1.            The induction process includes these stages: 
step 1. how to begin
 step 2. progressive relaxation of the body
step 3. creating imagination for Deeper Relaxation
step 4. Enhancing the trance like state
step 5. The special place
step 6. Concluding the induction
 
2.            step 1, -
               Begin by having your client take  some nice deep breaths, have them begin to focus on their breathing which helps to turn their attention inwards and away from the external environment.
               Step2,
               Next you have your client begin to relax all their muscles in their body, by going through them one at a time.
               Step3,
               Next you want to create imagery in the mind of your client for deeper relaxation. Give them the idea of lightness of mind and body, use a floating drifting image.          
               Step 4,
               Now is the time to enhance the trance like state, you can do this by using a count forward or backward. Taking them down a stair case, each step they go down takes them deeper and deeper into trance.
Step 5,
Take your client to a safe, special place that the two of you have discussed previously. Like a garden have them  take in the smells and sights of this special place.  Let them enjoy the peace and safety of this area.
Step 6,
Conclude the induction, Let the client enjoy the peace they are feeling, have them slowly count backward and slowly bring them back to their current surroundings.
 
3.            Yes.
 
4.            There are dangers associated with the induction process, The clients subconscious is wide open to suggestion.  You have to be very careful to use only positive uplifting words. You have to know in advance your clients fears, so they are not incorporated into the suggestive process.  You cannot bring your client back quickly or this could cause drowsiness, headache or a feeling of disorientation.

I WANT YOU TO SIT COMFORTABLY IN YOUR CHAIR.  ANYTHING THAT IS RESTRICTING AT THIS TIME PLEASE LOOSEN.  PUT YOUR FEET FLAT ON THE FLOOR, AND PLACE YOUR HANDS COMFORTABLY ON YOUR LAP.
 
NOW PLACE YOU ATTENTION ON THE CIRCLE, ON THE WALL IN FRONT OF YOU. YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF BLINKING MORE OFTEN AS YOUR EYES GET HEAVIER THAT IS NORMAL. NOW FOCUS ON THE SOUND OF MY VOICE AND MY VOICE ONLY. YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE THREE DEEP BREATHS AS YOU EXHALE YOU WILL BECOME MORE RELAXED AND CALM. TAKE A DEEP BREATH IN THROUGH YOUR NOSE HOLD; BLOW  OUT ALL YOUR STRESS, ALL YOUR ANGER. GOOD YOU ARE RELAXING. AGAIN, DEEP BREATH, HOLD, BLOW OUT ALL YOUR FEARS, NEGATIVITY, THOUGHTS AND WORRIES. GOOD YOU ARE NOW RELAXED AND AT PEACE.  AGAIN DEEP BREATH, HOLD, RELEASE, YOU RELAXED,RELAXED, RELAXED.
 
YOU ARE NOW  FLOATING IN A TUNNEL HEADING TOWARD A WHITE DIAMOND SHAPE  OF LIGHT. I WANT YOU TO GO TO THE DIAMOND SHAPE LIGHT. AS YOU STEP INTO THE LIGHT YOU FIND YOURSELF ON A BEAUTIFUL BEACH. YOU LOOK AROUND AT THE CLEAR BLUE, GREEN WATER, YOU FEEL THE SUN ON YOUR FACE, AND THE GENTLE WARM BREEZE THROUGH YOUR HAIR.  YOU HEAR THE WAVES SPLASHING ON THE SHORE.  FEEL THE WARM WHITE SAND BETWEEN YOUR TOES AS YOU WALK ALONG. THIS IS YOUR SAFE SPOT, A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN COME TO ANY TIME TO RELAX AND BE AT PEACE.  JUST ENJOY THE QUIET AND BEAUTY THAT LIES BEFORE YOU.  NOW OFF IN THE DISTANCE YOU SEE A GREEN PATH.
 
YOU ARE GOING LEAVING YOUR SAFE SPOT,  BUT YOU CAN COME BACK TO THIS SAFE SPOT ANYTIME YOU WANT. IT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU. AS YOU ARE WALKING ALONG THIS GREEN PATH  YOU ENTER INTO A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN. YOU STOP AND ARE AMAZED AT THE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS AND THE PEACE AND CLAM OF THE AREA. IT IS IN THIS BEAUTIFUL AREA  THAT YOU ARE HERE TO GIVE A SPEECH. IN THE DISTANCE YOU SEE THE PODIUM YOU CONTINUE WALKING TOWARD IT RELAXED AND AT PEACE.
 
PICTURE YOUR SELF STANDING AT A PODIUM GIVING A SPEECH ON YOUR FAVORITE TOPIC. A TOPIC YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT. YOUR AUDIENCE IS ONE PERSON AND THAT PERSON IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. YOU TWO ARE TOTALLY ALONE. AS YOU GIVE YOUR SPEECH YOU ARE CALM AND RELEAXED. WHEN YOU FINISH YOUR SHORT SPEECH YOU ARE PROUD AND EXCITED THAT YOUR FRIEND UNDERSTOOD YOUR FEELINGS.    NOW PICTURE YOURSELF GIVING THAT SAME SPEECH TO TWO FRIENDS STANDING IN THE AUDIENCE. THERE IS NO ONE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL GARDEN  BUT YOU THREE.  YOUR FRIENDS ARE STANDING WAY BACK SO YOU HAVE TO REALLY SPEAK UP.  AGAIN YOU DO A WONDERFUL JOB.  YOU ARE SO CALM AND RELAXED THAT IT DRAWS MORE PEOPLE IN TO HEAR YOU. NOW THERE ARE 10 PEOPLE ENTERING THIS GARDEN TO HEAR YOU. YOUR ARE RELAXED AND YOU HAVE THEIR FULL ATTENTION. YOUR PEACE AND CALM BRINGS IN 10 MORE PEOPLE, THEN 20, NOW 30. THE MORE PEOPLE WHO COME TO HEAR YOU CALMER YOU BECOME., YOU SMILE FROM EAR TO EAR YOU ARE SO CALM AND AT PEACE YOU CANNOT WAIT TO DO THIS AGAIN.

YOU ARE BREATHING FULLY AND SLOWLY THE AUDIENCE IS IN LOVE WITH YOUR WORDS. YOU ARE DOING A WONDERFUL JOB, FEEL YOUR EXCITEMENT AND THE SATISFACTION OF A JOB WELL DONE. YOU ARE SO GOOD A GIVING SPEECHES YOU ARE ASKED TO DO MORE AND MORE OF THEM. YOU ARE SO GOOD…..
 
 
NOW WHEN I COUNT DOWN FROM FIVE, YOU ARE GOING TO COME BACK TO THIS ROOM. FIVE THE AUDIENCE IS LEAVING ONE BY ONE. FOUR YOU ARE SO CALM AND PROUD FOR A JOB WELL DONE. THREE YOU ARE BACK IN YOUR CHAIR, YOU FEEL YOURSELF BACK IN YOUR BODY, TWO STRETCH AND WIGGLE YOUR FINGERS AND TOES. ONE OPEN YOUR EYES. WELCOME BACK HOW DO YOU FEEL?
 
 

Metaphysical Healing Lesson 17 - Rev. Vanderlooven

Lesson #17
 
1.            People who are ill and traumatized need love, healing, and support. They must not be made to feel that they are responsible for making themselves sick, or for the death of a loved one.
2.            There is no magical ritual executed to perfection that will always bear fruit.
3.            The outcomes could be affected by the realities of other people.
4.            The reasons why old diseases and the emergence of new type are taking place are due to the growth in the world's population, changes in food handling, increased international travel and worldwide transportation of animals. There is also the resistance to medication, changes in human behavior, agricultural revolution, human encroachment on wilderness habitats that are reservoirs for insects and animals that harbor infectious agents, global warming, people living in close proximity to  animals, people with low immune system due to poverty, HIV/AIDs and the list goes on.
5.            Spiritual healing, positive thinking, visualization and affirmations, medical and complementary therapies is used to create the perfect matrix to facilitate the healing process.
6.            Some of the other factors that could contribute to ill health include, diabetes, depression, addictions, suicidal tendencies can also be passed on through the genes.
7.            The term GERD stands for Gastro esophageal Reflux. (acid reflux)
8.            The shadow consists of all the bad things that ever happened to us. It is the storehouse for guilt, grief, pain, anger and many other unresolved emotional issues. It provides the perfect fertilizer for depression, anger, resentment, bitterness, and negativity.
9.            Leo Rutherford states: We create , interpret, our own experience of reality, but to think one creates all reality is ignoring the fact that we share the physical planet earth together, and planet earth, her winds, waters, mountains and sometimes fires, will mock the human who dares to think he alone created it all……
